COUNTRY CHART: Sam Hunt Passes Luke Bryan and Zac Brown Band for Song and Album Chart Wins

Sam Hunt steamrolls his way past Luke Bryan to retake the iTunes Country Albums chart today, March 19, 2015. Hunt's smash October 2014 release "Montevallo" has continued to keep momentum even though Luke Bryan's album was released only ten days ago on March 10, 2015. The Zac Brown Band continues its run of good fortune with its soon to be released (April) "Jeckyll + Hyde" project, and the single "Homegrown" from the band is only second to Sam "The Steamroller" Hunt's Number 1 "Take Your Time."

In other daily album chart news, Florida Georgia Line continues at Number 4 - holding steady from yesterday's Number Four finish on the Daily Country Chart followed by Eric Church's "The Outsiders," Jason Aldean with "Old Boots, New Dirt" and Darius Rucker's forthcoming "Southern Style (Deluxe)" which seems to be a lock for a Country Chart Number One when it is released March 31, 2015. Texas music favorite Aaron Watson proves he is no underdog at #8, followed by Miranda Lambert's "Platinum" at 9. Rounding out the album Top 10 is Luke Bryan with "Crash My Party."

On the country songs/singles daily chart, Kacey Musgraves' craving for "Biscuits" is eatin' up the chart at a cool #3 - followed by whiskey lovin' Cole Swindell at #4. Crushing it at #5 is Little Big Town's "Girl Crush"  "Smoke" fills the Number 7 spot from A Thousand Horses while Eric Church is wrecking the chart at #7 with "Like A Wrecking Ball." Miranda Lambert is peddling her "Little Red Wagon at Number 8 along with Chase Rice's cool "Ride" at #9. The lonely-eyed Chris Young finished out the Top 10 Daily Country songs/single chart with "Lonely Eyes." CountryChart.com
